%0 Journal Article %T De la religión del juramento al juramento legal: conclusiones de un estudio sobre la evolución del juramento procesal en Colombia durante el siglo XIX %D 2013 %@ 16576535 %U http://www.icesi.edu.co/revistas/index.php/precedente/article/view/1578 %X This paper brings out the findings of a noteworthy work that contributes with new perceptions in relation to the secularization process of the Colombian judicial oath along the nineteenth century. Based on primary and secondary sources, it examines the oath´s worth as a guarantor of truth within the cultural purpose´s framework of judicial process. It also reflects on the political and judicial evolution of oath in Modernity, and recalls its slow development from the religious practice of oath towards the secularized pledge, inside the Colombian´s judicial proceedings.
