AB  - Considering the importance of self-efficacy as a motivational factor for entrepreneurship, a bibliometric analysis was carried out in order to establish the evolution and trends in research on the subject. For this purpose, a search equation was applied to the Scopus database, which allowed the identification of 206 publications, and indicators of productivity, quality, and structure were extracted from them. It was found that the journal with the greatest impact on the field is Journal of Applied Psychology with 644 citations; that gender, education, innovation, and entrepreneurial intention are the factors with which self-efficacy has been associated the most and that an important part of the research is carried out with university students.
