AB  - From a gender perspective this article critically analyses the Colombian pension 
legislation system. Through the distributional analysis of rights methodology, the 
authors deliberate on the positive impact of women retirement plans from labour 
tasks. The results show that this benefit does not compensate the work developed, 
in a greater degree and extent by the female population; on the contrary, it 
discourages the women´s participation in the formal labor market.
